We are Aaron, Michelle, and Michael Sage. Welcome to our blog!
Our aim here is to open up a window into our world. From documenting the mundane aspects of everyday life to contemplative treatises on salient topics (that’s our attempt at sounding intelligent), we hope to create an entertaining, thought-provoking venue to interact with family and friends.
The inspiration for our blog name comes primarily from Psalm 1.1-3:
1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Our prayer and desire is that our family would embody these verses:
that we would flee evil;
that we would find our greatest joy in God, through his son Jesus Christ; and,
that we would be firmly rooted in Truth and “productive”.
Another influence on our blog name is Aaron’s Grandpa Sage, who has traced the Sage family tree all the way back to Adam & Eve (well, maybe not quite that far). An avid photographer, genealogy buff, and the family historian, he has inspired us to record our family’s significant events. This blog is part of our attempt to do that.
